SAMMY SAY’S…

I really wanted to like Sun and Stone given what it’s about.

But I just cannot get on board with its flavour. The best way to describe it is like dishwater that’s been used to clean beer glasses at the end of a night. And the beer that’s been washed was crap to begin with.

I think it’ll be a collab that doesn’t happen again. It definitely shouldn’t.

I don’t want to say anymore. I don’t need to say anymore.

JYMI SAY’S…

Brewgooder I’m familiar with. Never been much of a fan of their work, I’m afraid. But Taybeh Brewing Co…. I am not at all familiar with.

On the back of today’s tin I’m told this:

Sun & Stone is a collaboration between Brewgooder and Taybeh Brewing Co; Palestine’s pioneering microbrewery that has faced challenges no brewery should.

Inspired by the region’s warm sun and rugged limestone hills, this beer represents resilience, compassion and craft.

All proceeds from this beer will help to support communities in Palestine and across the Middle East.

OK, whether this brew is incredible or utter garbage, it matters not.

GO AND BUY AS MANY AS YOU CAN AFFORD TO HELP THIS CAUSE.

To the beer itself, it saddens me to report that it is closer to the utter garbage end of the spectrum rather than incredible.

What a shame.

I’m blaming Brewgooder. Haha.

Look, Sun & Stone (great name) is light and drinkable, so if you buy hundreds to help out the folks struggling across the Middle East, then you are getting something consumable in return.

But all in all, this is a pretty poor brew.
