JYMI SAY’S…

Well folks, here we are again. A blue label on a brown bottle. F me it looks bad.

Look, I know the Hellenic Republic flag is blue and white to represent the sky and sea, but, at some point along the line someone surely has to step in and say something along the lines of, ‘kin el, this looks shit,’.

Beer wise. This is a bit of a stinker I’m afraid. Not undrinkable or disgusting but, NOTHING. It literally is nothing.

Body = zero.

Flavour = zero.

Aftertaste = zero.

The only thing I can cling onto is that Fix is light and easy to drink, helped along by the glorious Greek sun in situ I’m sure.

But for me we have a question to ask here, why has no one stood up and said, ‘kin el, are we really sending this out?’

Seriously, don’t bother with this one. A cold glass of San Pelle would do a better trick.

SAMMY SAY’S…

Fix lands with a name that suggests solutions, but from the first glance it’s clear this beer isn’t fixing anything at all. The packaging is genuinely shocking; it might leave you wondering whether anyone actually signed off the design or whether it simply slipped through unnoticed. Pouring it doesn’t improve the mood. The nose is sweet and malty but carries that unmistakable stale‑pub‑the‑morning‑after aroma, the sort of smell that instantly lowers expectations and makes you brace yourself for what’s coming next. It’s not unpleasant in a dramatic way, just tired, flat, and oddly defeated.

The taste continues the theme. Fix drinks like a cheap lager left out too long, thin and stale with a sweet sickly aftertaste that clings far longer than you’d want. There’s nothing interesting happening, nothing to latch onto, nothing that suggests the beer has any intention of redeeming itself. The bitterness is barely there, the malt feels washed out, and the whole thing collapses into a kind of limp sweetness that makes you wish it would hurry up and finish. The mouthfeel is non‑existent, offering no structure or weight, just a watery slide from sip to swallow.

By the end, the name feels almost ironic. Fix doesn’t fix a thing. It doesn’t fix your thirst, your curiosity, your mood, or even its own shortcomings. It’s a beer that arrives with a promise and leaves with its tail firmly between its legs, a reminder that not every brew is destined to be memorable. Some simply exist, and this one barely manages that.
